ABOUT JOKER’S HAND
Joker’s Hand is an alternative rock band from Torrance, CA that brings punk energy, hard rock heat, and pop sensibility to the stage.
The band was formed in 2017 by Kevin Kawano (lead vocals/rhythm guitar) and Matt Lau (backing vocals/lead guitar). Once college roommates, Kawano and Lau bonded in their leap of faith to pursue music, abandoning their academic career paths for loud guitars, live stages, and the chance to be among the greats.
“All-American Rage”, the rock duo’s debut album, was released in late 2021. With it, Joker’s Hand found multiple songs on radio rotation including on the World Famous KROQ. The band followed up their debut with a more experimental EP, “Seeing Red”, in 2023. The lead single “Danny Phantom” featured guest vocalist Jakob Nowell (Sublime, Jakob’s Castle) and quickly became a fan favorite.
Joker’s Hand released their latest EP “Pride Before The Panic” in February 2024, boasting a raw, more aggressive sound for the duo. The band’s next full-length album is in the works for release in 2025.
